Ministry

Larose a Minister!

Perennial contender, Vancouver Ministry, have picked up a former league MVP in the form of Rosey Larose. GM Edwards hit the panic button last week after his club had only won 2 games in their last 17 but still remarkably are still in a playoff position and if that wasn’t bad enough the Ministry goals for are 2nd worst in the entire league.

Ministry AKA The Glass Goons.

GM Edwards has his hands full already. His bunch of GOONS with glass jaws can't seem to keep there cool. After 2 games played, Edwards has ended up with 3 suspended and 2 injuries. I don't wanna be in the locker room next game when he gets talking.

Ministry Bean Counters aka Jerks!

Ministry Name Franchise Player as a Legend Calls It a Career.

He might have been the best right wing to ever play in this league. 15 seasons of excellence is the easiest way to sum up the career of Pete Steep. 7th all time games played, 7th all time scoring, 11 x 30+ goal season, 502 goals, 2 CNFHL CUP* final appearances, the list goes on and on for this perenial all star.

GM Edwards, "I'm...... a little sho---ok up right now. Pete has been the poster boy for this city for a very long time. I speak for the city of Vancouver when I say......thank...you Pete! Thanks for the goodtimes man!"

Go Ministry!

Come on Ministry I need that series to go 7 games!!!

CNFHL Crowns Brantford 99ers the Season 13 Champions!

In a series that saw a number of close games, including three periods of overtime, the Vancouver Ministry yielded the Championship to the Brantford 99ers. This is the 99ers second straight and overall fifth CNFHL title in the league's 13 season history.

Congratulations!

Pacific All-Star Squad Named

Thanks to a great start to the season, Yukon Horsemen management earned the right to helm the Pacific division team in the upcoming All-Star tournament. Choosing the most worthy players based on thier early performances turned out to be quite a challenging task, but the roster sorted itself out quite well. Even though no specific directives were issued from the league office regarding the team structure, all 5 Pacific teams will be equally represented on the team.

12th Overall Pick Available

The Mountaineers have released a statement this morning indicating they are shopping the 12th overall pick this season. It is rumored the GM is satisfied with the amount of youth on the team and would be looking at cash and or a veteran player for the pick. This is a great opportunity to get a little younger with a 1st round pick. Interested parties please send and email to the Mountaineers GM.

Wolf Pac turn to roster depth in time of need

The Calgary Wolf Pac are proving that having depth in the farm is a necessity. Losing star Dman Andre Bino to suspension during the critical stretch drive to the playoffs could have spelled disaster for a franchise that has struggled compared to last season. "We were first in the conference and our division last year," GM Reynolds stated," This year we re-tooled, had two coaching changes and at some points looked like we may not even make the playoffs.

Wolf Pac fire Guiness!

Word hit the CNFHL community yesterday that Jason McBride had been terminated from the Trojans, and GM Reynolds snapped him up as soon as he could. "Guiness was brought in to turn this team around, and he did not make good on his commmitment. The opportunity to bring in McBride was a no brainer, he should be able to guide the team down the stretch and through the playoffs," GM Reynolds stated. We attempted to call Guiness, but got no answer.
