Below is a listing of the order of offseason activities that we will go through.
The following players have indicated their plans for the future:
Ice - Butch Cox has decided to retire at the age of 35.
Ice - Mary Tyler Moore is not happy with the last season, but feels the team needs him.
Ice - Adam Lynes has decided to retire at the age of 35.
Ice - Tony Cooper is unhappy and demands to be traded or he will retire.
99ers - Frank Poncherello is not happy with the last season, but feels the team needs him.
99ers - Andre Bino is not happy with the last season, but feels the team needs him.
The Brantford 99ers and the Yukon Horsemen fought a hard battle in the CNFHL championship this year. Luckily there was no rioting in the Yukon when the 99ers sealed the deal in the sixth game of the series.

Perennial contender, Vancouver Ministry, have picked up a former league MVP in the form of Rosey Larose. GM Edwards hit the panic button last week after his club had only won 2 games in their last 17 but still remarkably are still in a playoff position and if that wasn’t bad enough the Ministry goals for are 2nd worst in the entire league.
Free agent bidding in the third round has been quite frantic since opening Tuesday night. 47 players have received bids so far with at least two players having received 10 or more individual bids. Twelve teams have active bids on players which corresponds to the 12 teams that currently haven't met the league roster minimums.
Over 60 CNFHL players have decided that with little interest in their skills that they will either hang up the blades or move on to a European league. With new players coming into the league and a little number of retirements still, it only makes sense that some players have either determined that reduced salaries in the CNFHL are no better than retiring and preserving their health or journeying over to Europe for a change of scenery and possibility of higher earnings.
The remaining players without contracts will begin accepting offers at 30% of their league calculated salaries starting Tuesday night at 8pm. In the meantime, the CNFHL's pre-season will kickoff Tuesday morning. Send in your lines!
The second round of unrestricted free agent bidding begins at 8pm Eastern this evening and continues for 4 nights to end at 8pm Sunday evening.
Monday morning teams will be updated and third round bidding will begin sometime that day. The pre-season schedule will begin on Tuesday morning.
There are numerous stars in play including former 99ers Maxim Zelmanov and Trojans Eugene Carol as free agent bidding gets underway this evening. The first round of bidding begins at 8pm tonight and ends Monday evening around 8pm.

The North River Rattlers have announced a 300 seat addition to their arena to go along with a $2 ticket increase to help fund the expansion. The team announced that they will not be removing any concession stands for the renovations after the outrage that greeted the removal of the North End Hot Dogs last season.
