Yesterday evening, in a game scheduled at the same time as the Stanley Cup Final game #7, which was won by Boston Bruins and in which Luongo sucked again and Sedins were invisible, 99ers defeated Horsemen 4-2 and took the series in 6 games.

If they keep playing this way, they are probably in for a short postsean run.

Close to the middle of the game, the B&W were down again by two goals and they were outshot 14-8, but a roughing penalty by Marsh allowed them to get back into the game.

As usual, when the B&W needed a big goal, O`Keefe answered. He burried a juicy rebound on a rocket from blue line by Ruud and then he set Lesser for the GTG.

Late in the third, Ruud pinched in and scored the Game Winner on a pass by the veteran Riemann.

A third period furry helped the B&W mount a coumback and win game one of ther series against Czechmates.

Henry Godin was the unluikely hero for this game. With the B&W trailing 5-2 early in the third period, Godin, who already scored a SH goal earlier in the period, scored his second of the game and changed the momentum of the game in the B&W favour. Outshot 23-15 up to that point, the B&W outshot the Chechs 15-1 in the remining of the game, and scored another 2 goals in thext couple minutes to tie the game.

For the second straight season the Tweed Toros have finished first in a dubious race...that for the first overall pick in the CNFHL Junior Draft. Many around the league saw the decline coming as many of the team's best players approached unrestricted free agency, but now some have to wonder if they will ever pull out of it...

The Chevs-Tigers series will probably blow all the records for PIMs in a playoffs series.
In the first two games the Chevs had averaged 67.5 PIMs/game, while the Tigers averaged 46 PIMs/game.

In a heated series dominated so far by the Tigers, the Chevs are lucky to split the first two games.

The first period in this series started with 1 goal, two fights and 6 minor penalty, being a good sign for things to come.

After disappointing first round exits in each of the last three seasons, the B&W are treating their first round matchup with Blizzzard seriously.

Round one, a gruelling task in the making for the Czechmates club. Ministry, With one of the best GM's in the league coaching his band of brothers, will ensure this will not be a nice afair.
