Jasper had a few days off and many felt they would be rusty, that clearly was not the case today in a 4-1 road victory. The Mountaineers were led by sensational goaltending from Pelle Lindbergh, 3 points from Stan Lorantire and a Gordie Howe hat trick by Kurtis Zeitz.

Jasper continues to find ways to win and tomorrow they will have Brent Devolder back in the line-up after serving his 3 game suspension.

Head coach Walter Kingston likes this match-up. “The Mice have a deep line-up and some very talented forwards. We feel they can be exposed defensively if we use our speed and intensity to force their defensive turnovers. Our hall of fame GM has given me some depth that is the envy of every team and I plan on making the most of it. The Mice are tough; this will be a very gritty series.”

Future Hall of fame GM and living Legend GM Buckley is once again in the news after comments from a rival GM. When asked for a comment the most respected GM in CNFHL history had this to say. “Nice to see Theo is alive and well. After taking advantage of some inexperienced GM’s in the past he has been able to coast for a long time. Welcome back to the league Theo, I would like to catch up but I have a playoff series to worry about.”
