Depth in the CNFHL has been the mantra for success in recent seasons. In years past as a long as you could ice two great lines you had a chance aka 99ers. In this era of penalties and injuries, depth and overall team health can be the difference maker. Montreal on paper has a far superior team but last night 50% of there starting defense was suspended or injured. Montreal lost that game 2-1 despite a great goaltending display by back-up Lenard Johns. This team has used its depth and versatility to become one of the leagues best teams. There is no ritz or glitz in this line-up just heart and character.

Montreal is expecting more defensemen back in the line-up tonight but what that will look like no one knows. This team needs a win to close off the series, rest days would be a serious asset at this point.
