Czechmates 1 Ice 4 Ice lead series 2-0

It was another night the Mates would have to dig deep and find themselves. With a 7-3 loss in game one, could they muster enough tonight to make this a game. Injured captain, J.Stacer, along with #2 centerman J.Akick were still watching from the press box, while #1 RW'r J.Krakofsky proceeded back to Surrey in hopes to get back into this series for game 4.

'OOOOOOOOOOOOh Caaaaanada we stand on gaurd for theeeeeeeeee'..... it's again..... game time.
The Czechmates would shock even themselves as I.Allin would win the opening face off and dump the puck into the Ice zone.... A.Matialinen would be there first and pass back to defensman S.Marsh.... Marsh would shoot and the rebound would end up on Matilainen's stick who would feed it across the crease to an open Allin. Allin would bang her home and give the Mates the 1-0 lead.

The Ice would continue to pressure the short staffed Mates club, but this would backfire as the Ice would get 3 penalties in a row. But it was evident that the Mates firepower just wasn't there as they went 0-3. This spurred on the Ice and at the 16 minute mark E.Heskey would tie the game on a blistering shot that Labelle had no chance on. 1-1. The period would end with the score remaining 1-1.

The Ice club wouldn't be so passive as the puck dropped to start period two... instead taking the advantage and keeping the Mates on there heels. At the 4 minute mark D.Messing would put the Ice up after a great pass from M.T. Moore. 2-1 Ice. Five minutes later it was a wrist shot from the point by Ice's M.Odell that would go through everyone and beat X.Labelle again. 3-1. Some fisticuffs and another Mates powerplay would end the period... but the powerplay would again fail for Mates. Period ends 3-1 Ice.

Period three would be no different.... the Mates would struggle to get the puck out of the zone and the Ice would finally make them pay again at the 4 minute mark as C.Healey would would get the Ice by 4. 4-1. While the Mates faired better the rest of the period.... they could not find the back of the net and would end up behind 2 game to nil as the Ice win game 2 of the series 4-1.

GM Lada"We had a better effort from the guys tonight... but the guys need to capitalize on the PP..... we had our chance to get back into the game but we failed to execute. Both J.Stacer and J.Akick are cleared to play game 3, so I think we could have a better outting on home ice. The guys will get the day off to get there legs.... but expect a harder nosed game tomorrow.... I know captain Stacer is looking to get this club back into the race."
