With the Surrey Czechmates going 1-8-1 in the last 10 games, we were sure to see a deal arise which would get this team back on track. Rumours had the likes of Thoroufield and Knight moving, but all was said and done as the trade deadline passed. The Mates would make no changes. What happened to this club? We spoke to the GM to find out why this club is falling in the standings.

GM Lada" It's been a tough 10 games... no puck luck, and chances dont seem to be ending up in the back of the net as they were before. I think the guys will come out of this though... it's kind of like a hot potato right now... no one wants to make the mistake... but the potato must cool, and I know these guys will find there A game again. As for making moves, the organization had deals on the table, but nothing solid could be completed. I think this will get the guys going even sooner knowing no one is packing bags before the next game."
