Recchi is Alive...!

from you reporter Harrie Vermeegen
MAPLE RIDGE - When entering the league, now a few months ago, GM Smolders found one of his players more dead than alive on his roster. Carl Recchi was recorde just above 20%, which means in real life that one is officially clinical dead. In real life one would also assume never ever to be able to skate at all and one can forget a professional ice hockey carreer for sure. How else this is in FHL terms. As normally we would not have expected Carl Recchi to be able to even walk, he is on the eve of his comeback...!

"Carl is relieved he survived the most dramatic period of his professional hockey career so far and is looking forward to contribute to the team performance" stated a press reporter of the Mice franchise. Carl Recchi hasn't seen ice time since late December 2009 and it is questioned what role is foreseen by GM Smolders for him within the Mice team. When being asked he was full of questionmarks as well: "That is a hard question and difficult to answer for me at the moment as I haven't seen much of Recchi yet. Further to that we have formed the team throughout the past months and in recent weeks it is starting to pay off for us. Our results have improved over the past period and we have been able to create a gap of 11 points already towards the play offs spots. It is not hard to see Carl is loaded with talent, but that is just based on his statistics and we all know the disadvantages of statistics. We will have to await his performances within the team, either on pro or farm roster I have just not figured that out. One thing is for sure,it is way too early to even think about trading him away. We haven't seen anything yet of him and with his talents he deserves a fair chance at our Maple Ridge Mice!"

So it is still unclear in what role we will see Carl Recchi appear within the Mice team, but we will finally see him skating around in Maple Ridge and that is simply a thought we never believed to become through since 3 months time. We just hope and cross our fingers for Carl that he will stay healthy during his appearances...
